Thai Lion Air operates from Bangkok's main airport, Don Mueang International Airport, with domestic and international scheduled flights. The airline's first flight was in December 2013 between bangkok - Chiang Mai. The airline shares services with Malindo Air between Kuala Lumpur International and Bangkok. Denpasar becomes the second destination in Indonesia that Thai Lion Air serves from the Thai capital, with it already flying to Jakarta. In total Thai Lion Air now offers 24 routes from Don Mueang on over 450 weekly flights.

Lion Air subsidiary, Wings Air, opens new route
Wings Air has launched a new route, connecting the city of Kupang, the main city on Indonesian Timor (Timor Barat) to Lombok, the popular tourist destination on Nusa Tengarra. This route is set to start tomorrow on an aircraft with a capacity for 72 passengers. This new Wings Air route will fly daily between the two islands and strengthen the inter-island network of the Lion Air group.

Thai Lion Air adjusts start date for service to Nepal
Thai Lion Air have changed their scheduling of a new route that they're launching which flies between Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) and Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). initially, the route was supposed to start service on 1st May 2018, however, the airline has now pushed the date back to 1st August 2018. The service will run three times a week and will carry passengers on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Thai Lion Air receives first Boeing 737
Boeing delivered its first 737 MAX 9 to launch customer Lion Air Group, also the first operator to put the MAX 8 into service. One of the world’s largest operators of 737s, Lion Air Group has a commitment for 50 MAX 10s in place as well. The 737 MAX 9 is designed for a capacity of up to 220 passengers and a maximum range of 3,550 nm. The debut aircraft will join the fleet of Thai Lion Air.

Thai Lion Air launches direct route between Tianjin, Bangkok
Thai Lion Air has lunahced a new direct route between Tianjin in China and Bangkok in Thailand.
A new direct air route between north China's Tianjin Municipality and Thailand's Bangkok has opened, bringing the weekly number of flights from Tianjin to Thailand to 37. The new route is served by an Airbus A330 with 392 seats. It operates every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday via Thai Lion Air. Another air route from Tianjin to Phuket will be launched soon by the same airline. Thai Lion Mentari Co. Ltd, traded as Thai Lion Air, is the first new foreign airline to serve Tianjin Binhai International Airport in 2018. The carrier operates mainly from Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport.

Thai Lion Air put on a show for Children's day!
Thai Lion Air were just one of the Thai Airlines that heped put on a spectaular Air Show in aid of Chlidren's day. Pilots and staff from Thai Lion Air worked along side their competitors to take turns handing out school supplies and demonstarating regular rescue operations. Children could participate in a wide avariety of activities, including simulated boarding, quizzes and sports contests. Prime Minister Chan-o-cha presided over the official opening ceremony at Don Mueang Airport, speaking to over 300 adolescents about importance of the day. Known as 'Wan Dek' in Thailand, the day gives children the opportunity to have fun and create awareness about their significant role towards the development of the country. Children's day is celebrated in a number of countries worldwide.

Thai Lion Air adds first widebody jet, an A330
Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) has taken delivery of its first widebody aircraft in the form of A330-300 HS-LAH (msn 1820). According to Skyliner Aviation, the twinjet as positioned from Toulouse Blagnac to Bangkok Don Mueang on Tuesday, November 21, featuring the livery of fellow Lion Air Group carrier, Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta).
Thai Lion Air has previously stated it would take delivery of a total of three A330s this year. They will be used to open up medium-haul services to Japan and South Korea once permits from the respective civil aviation authorities have been secured as well as the Middle East, and possibly Europe.
